Laura Olcina is a professional with over 25 years of experience in Innovation and Technology Transfer. After working briefly with various companies and institutions dedicated to innovation in France and Spain, she joined ITI—a private technology center specializing in ICT- in 1998. Since then, her career has been closely linked to the center’s. Appointed Managing Director in 2002, she has led ITI’s transformation into a reference technology center in Information and Communication Technologies, overseeing a consolidated team of over 300 professionals.
Her commitment to innovation and collaboration as key drivers of growth has led her to focus her efforts on organizations that share these principles. Laura Olcina serves as Chair of FEDIT (the Spanish Federation of Technological Centers), Vice President of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council (CACTI), a member of the newly established CDTI Advisory Board, and a juror at the National Innovation Awards 2023, among other roles. She is a passionate advocate for the pivotal role of ICT in boosting competitiveness and economic development, and she champions innovation as a powerful force for progress.
Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the Universitat de Valencia (Spain) and a Bachelor’s degree in European Business Administration from CESEM Mediterranée in Marseille (France). She also holds an AMP from IE Business School in Madrid and is a PhD candidate in Business Administration at the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), focusing on AI, data economy, and digital transformation. Additionally, she holds an international accreditation in Board of Directors and Good Governance awarded by the Instituto de Gobernanza Empresarial (IGE).
