Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and President of the Council of Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community

Since 2010, he has chaired the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Valencia and the Council of Chambers of the Region of Valencia, institutions that work with SMEs to promote internationalization, training, digitalization and sustainability as tools for competitiveness.

He is also a member of the governing bodies of Cámara España, as third vice- president, an institution based in Madrid in which leading Spanish companies of the Ibex 35 are represented, with whom he works to exert a tractor effect on SMEs to increase the competitiveness of the business fabric.

In Cámara España, José Vicente Morata also chairs the Ports Commission, from where he promotes the modernization and competitiveness of the Spanish port network. In addition, he is vice-president of Eurochambres, a group of European Chambers based in Brussels.

Since 2009, he has been consul of Estonia in Valencia, a country he admires for its modernization and digitalization capacity.

He is the administrator of the family business Puertas Morata, of which he is the fourth generation, and is vice-president of the Valencian carpentry association ASEMAD.

His commitment to training and the promotion of entrepreneurial vocations has led him to be academic director of the course Qui pot ser empresari, of the Cátedra de Cultura Empresarial of the Fundación Universidad Empresa, as well as to participate in sessions on Valencian economy and business aimed at university postgraduate courses.

He is also a trustee or member of the governing bodies of economic and business promotion entities such as IVEFA (Family Business Association), Premios Rei Jaime I, Lonja de Valencia, Fundación Conexus, Fundación Manuel Broseta, Science Park of the University of Valencia, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, Port of Valencia, Feria Valencia, ADEIT-Fundación Universidad- Empresa, Catedra de Cultura Empresarial, among others. In all these areas of representation, he works defending the interests of Valencian SMEs and promoting our economy.

From his previous career, it is worth mentioning the presidency of Umivale Activa-Mutua collaborator of Social Security nº3 from 1998 to 2012, a period in which he consolidated a great business project with headquarters in Valencia and which is currently positioned among the top ten companies by size in the Valencian Community.

Among other awards, he has been distinguished with the Cross of Military Merit with white badge, which recognizes merits linked to the Armed Forces, the Cross of Police Merit with white badge awarded by the Ministry of the Interior for services and merits and Ambassador of the Brand, issued by the Ministry of Defense, High Availability Ground Headquarters (CGTAD).
